What is the Microsoft IRC Server address?

Hi apo,

I'm afraid to say Microsoft have removed their IRC server. They felt it was getting too old and they couldn't manage it so it was taken off-line.

You can access an up-to-date version of their IRC by using MSN Messenger. Click "I Want To..." in MSN Messenger, then select "Go to Chat Rooms" from the list to launch chat.

MSN Messenger chat rooms can't be accessed with an IRC client, only MSN Messenger.

Alternatively to using MSN, you could use another IRC network. If you download an IRC client (from www.mirc.com for mIRC) then it should be packaged with a list of networks. Personally, I would suggest Dalnet if you want a large network, but its always best to try a number out and choose which one suits you
