Sound is not working on my computer. Everything is plugged in. Nothing is on mute, sound card/scheme is on default. When we turn the speakers on the sound of them turning is present. It may be just the computer, but I am unaware of what else I can do or check.

Firstly make sure that your sound card is working properly - via control panel, System and click on hardware.
Secondly, ensure that the speakers are plugged into the correct computer socket (there are usually three) and experiment with this.

If none of this works then I suggest contacting the manufacturer or your speakers/machine
