to obtain these updates.
- If you are making an enquiry about a
specific piece of software, please check you have any and all available
patches/updates for that product. Check the product manufacturers web site
for details on this. If you don't know the web site, check out our eLinks
database.

When Submitting to eHelp
- Please remember to include detailed
information on your computers hardware, version numbers, and anything
you think may be relevant to help us solve the problem. NB: Following
the MSInfo and DXDIAG route outlined below will ensure that we have all the
information we need to help you.
- Please include the contents of any error
messages you see, any crashes and so on.
- Please tell us what leads up to this
problem, and exactly what the symptoms of the problem are.

- To get your MSInfo and DXDIAG files

- Click on your Windows Start Button.
- Click on Run. Type in DXDIAG and click OK,
this will open the Direct X Diagnostic Tool.
- Click on the Save All Information Button
(save this file to your Windows Desktop and name it Dxdiag). Now choose
the More Help Tab of the Direct X Diagnostic Tool.
- Click the MSINFO Button.
- Select File from the menu bar at the top,
and choose Export (save this file to your Windows Desktop and name it
Msinfo)
- Open the two files and copy the contents
of them into the question you are submitting. Edit Menu > Copy to copy
then Right click in the question box and select Paste to paste.
- Lastly: Please remember
Helpforce is staffed entirely by volunteers. We have a limited amount of
time to give to answering questions, so please don't demand or expect an
answer within hours. We aim to answer all questions within one week. Also,
it is possible that we may not be able to answer your question. If this is
the case, please try submitting your question to Helpforce
eTalk, which is open to the general public. Other people beyond
Helpforce may be able to answer your question.
- Questions that are repeated again and again
in a short space of time will be deleted.
- People who take advantage of our services by
asking a lot of questions in a short space of time will have all their
questions deleted, we don't have the resources to cope with a mass amount of
questions.
- People who abuse Helpforce eHelp in any way
will be ban from accessing our web site.
