Helpforce email incident

Dear Users,

Please disregard any email you have recieved from Helpforce in recent days that may be asking you to view attachments or discussing passwords or similar.

Helpforce has not sent out any emails to it's staff or users asking you to do anything recently, the emails are being spread automaticlly by the Beagle.J virus.

The only emails you recieve from Helpforce will be in direct response to some action you take on our site, for example a response to a question posted to us or a request to change your password for one of our services. Other than that, you should not hear from Helpforce by email.
Our usual method of communicating with all our users at once is by way of the Helpforce eTalk forums.

If you recieve any email appearing to be from Helpforce, it is safe to look at the contents of the message to check it's legitimacy, but if the message contains an attachment, under no circumstances open this attachment.

Always insure you are running an up-to-date virus scanner which will detect and nutralise email viruses effectively.

If you have any questions, please contact me using Helpforce eTalk PM (Private Message) or by email: webmaster@helpforce.com

Helpforce management shake-up

Helpforce today announces the biggest change in management structure for two years.

From today, Helpforce will be run by the Helpforce Board Of Directors.
The Board Of Directors initially consists of the following four Directors:
Nick Brown - President of Helpforce
Lawrence Stromski - Vice President of Helpforce
Manuel Angulo - Director of Communications
Chris Fry - Director of Public Relations

We are currently considering the possabilities of promoting a fifth person to the board of directors.

The Board of Directors will shortly re-introduce the Helpforce Executives with the new mandate of overseeing the future developments of Helpforce to insure we become one of the leading organisations offering technical support.

This is one of the first steps in the plan for Helpforce this year, check back for new developments soon!

-Lawrence Stromski, Vice President, Helpforce.

New yearly record

2003 has certainly been a very eventful year. I would like to thank everyone for visiting this site last year and posting their questions.

Last year, we received over 790 000 hits. This is a new record for Helpforce and we are proud to be able to help as many people as we did.

I would like to send out a special thank you to all the members, past and present, who have worked so hard to answer questions. Without these people, we would not have become what we are today.

Thank you for your support and have a great year,
Nick Brown
President

Helpforce celebrates new page record

During January, Helpforce.com recieved 163453 hits. This has smashed our previous record. The executives would like to thank all of you who visit us and keep comming back.

More hits has, inevitably, meant that we have recieved more and more questions. Because of this, we need to increase the number of members. If you would like to help people and become part of the Helpforce family, then please visit http://www.helpforce.com/main/join.shtml

I would like to encourage our visitors to keep asking questions and to use this free resource. If you have any comments about Helpforce, you can email me at ceo@helpforce.com

Nick Brown,
President

Merry christmas

Merry Christmas!
Thank you for submitting questions and offering feedback throughout the year. This year a lot of effort has gone into Helpforce and without your questions it would be all for nothing.
This season is a very buisy time for everyone. Although we will still be accepting questions, the response time may be some what longer than normal - please bear with us.

Once again, thank you all for your support

Nick Brown
President

Helpforce web site outages

Dear Members and Users,

As you may know there have been several web site outages with the Helpforce web site over the past couple of days.

This is due to bad weather in Northern California where our servers are hosted. The weather has caused power cuts in the region.
Our ISP have informed us that currently the Helpforce web site and the entire ISP are being sustained by a generator as there is no mains electricity available.

We appologise if this causes you any inconvenience.

If you are unable to reach the Helpforce site and you need to ask a question, you can email your question to: support@helpforce.com. You will recieve a reply when our servers return to operaton.

Thank you for your time.

New faq system

We get through many many questions via both ehelp and our etalk forum. It has for sometime seemed a waste to simply delete these when they have been answered, and usually, many of the questions asked are very common.
Thus, we release our NEW FAQ system. This can be accessed via www.helpforce.com/faq . Unlike many of these databases, commonly asked questions (from ehelp and etalk) are automatically added to this, in order to make your life easier.
Thanks for reading, and happy computing

Nick Brown
Chief Executive Officer

Helpforce corporate headline

James Ham, Helpforce's Director of Business has regretfully decided to leave the Helpforce Executive board. We are all sorry to see him go and wish him well in the future. Mr. Ham has done some excellent work for Helpforce in the corporate field over the past few months.
We recently hired Chris Fry as our temporary webmaster to ease the work load on Mr. Stromski. Because of Mr. Fry's excellent work in helping Mr. Stromski, we have decided to appoint Mr. Fry a member of the Helpforce executive board in the position of Director of Public Relations. Mr. Fry will be responsable for handling Helpforce's advertising, our customer relations and making sure Helpforce presents the best service we can for the members of the public and our users.

Hopefully, the changes to the Helpforce executive board will allow Helpforce to grow and become even better over the next few months. Keep an eye on Helpforce eTalk and this page for more developments in Helpforce soon.

Please visit the Helpforce corporate web site for further information on the Helpforce executive board as well as information on the Helpforce Executives themselves.

Planned maintainance to the helpforce web site

Dear Helpforce Users and Members,

From 3.00-6.00pm GMT on Sunday 17th November the Helpforce web site will be temporarily out of service whilst I perform essential upgrades to the web site.
These upgrades will not affect the web site from the users point of view but will facilitate easyer management of the site and ease of applying future updates for the Helpforce staff.

During the outage period, I will attempt to make some parts of the site available to the general public but I can not gaurentee a fully working site during this time.

Helpforce eTalk will be unaffected by the upgrade and you may continue to access the Helpforce eTalk service from: http://www.helpforce.com/etalk.

If you would like further details on the upgrade, please feel free to contact me: webmaster@helpforce.com.

I appologise for any inconvenience this outage may cause you.

Regards,

-Lawrence Stromski, Webmaster.
